I have been illustrating softdrugs-related publications for some years now. I haven't, however, touched a single spliff all those years; too much paranoïa! This one is # 5 in a series about famous Dutch people being stoned, following a series of stoned pin-ups and one about stoned superheroes, all of them published in the dutch marijuana-promoting glossy High Life.

This drawing, based on the 2 tone characters used by the Specials and the Beat, was made for Harm, singer of the dutch ska/rock outfit De Hardheid. He gave me the old and rare nederpunk compilation-album 'Als je haar maar goed zit', featuring classic bands such as A4, Frites Modern, Amsterdamned and the Nitwitz, and I made him this one.

15 years of anti fascist action are celebrated on this cd, with tons of bands and a bonus dvd. Also features a Human Alert song, the 'jordaan'version of 'Fasjiste'. Hits the shops around october; support your local anti fascists!

Every year I make a holiday T-shirt for my sons, Sweden again this year, trolls 'n' moose, printed in dark blue on a blue shirt. In 2006 it was pipi, karlsson and mr. nilsson, printed in blue on a yellow shirt (Sweden!), but that turned out rather greenish...

Gonz

I did this one for non-subsidised underground youthcentre 'De Gonz" in Gouda, and it's supposed to become a giant wallpainting. I wish them all the luck and I hope it will be finished when I play there with Human Alert!

Wicked Witch

Another 7", a split with satanic deathmetal heroes NUNSLAUGHTER and weird-rockers SLOTH.
Sloth means luiaard in dutch, and they do a song about ninja's, so there you go..
It will be released on Wicked Witch records, just 50 slabs of vinyl; very cult indeed!
